It's an active community - take a look at these other microsites to find out what else is happening:

FOOD IN LANARK

Up there with shopping, eating out is probably my favourite pastime. No need to leave Lanark for this. There's a prolific choice of eateries, from cosy coffee shops to Cordon Bleu restaurants. Something to suit everyone, Scottish, Indian, Chinese, Italian, traditional steakhouse/pub fayre. Local pubs are friendly and welcoming, offering a perfect round off to an evening out with friends.

If you have a favourite eatery - it may not be a restaurant, or even if you'd like to boast about your own place, contact me.

You can source some of the best of local produce in Lanark's shops, particulary in the local butchers, who've recently been selling local tomatoes and strawberries. The meat supplied is also far superior to the supermarket stuff.

Christmas in Lanark

The Lanark Light Festival brings Festive Cheer to Christmas shoppers. This year's event welcomed around 8,000 local people and visitors who enjoyed street music and market stalls. Cheers resounded when the Lanimer Queen switched on the lights. Even Santa Claus came along too, much to the delight of the wee ones.
