Are you young at art?

It is never too late to unleash your creativity so if you are 50+ why not take part in the 2010 Young at Heart festival.
The festival offers all aspiring artists the chance to participate in a range of visual arts activities and to learn new techniques and processes from professional artists.
To realise your creative ambitions the council's Arts Development team have set up the following workshops:
Make a Wish - Ceramics
One day workshop will provide you with the opportunity to explore your ideas through a variety of pottery techniques and decorative ceramic processes to create a small personalised wish box. So get ready to be creative with clay and make your wishes come true!

Pictures at an Exhibition - Drawing and Painting
Following a guided tour of The Hamilton Story exhibition at Low Parks Museum in the morning, participants are invited to join a drawing and painting workshop in the afternoon to develop their own responses to the exhibition. Both days offer the chance to explore the rich, visual language of the exhibition and the opportunity to create a personal vision of the Hamilton story through both traditional and experimental drawing and painting. You can attend one or both workshops at Low Parks Museum, Hamilton, Tuesday 23 and Thursday 25 March, 2 - 4pm. Free.
