Would you like to become a member of our Society? We are a group of local enthusiasts sharing a common interest in old naturally powered mill sites in the Clydesdale area.
We are involved not only in excavation and historical research, but also in the preservation of such sites (with the permission of the owners).
The Society (founded 2007) to date has only been physically involved at one site - Hyndford Mill, where we have already unearthed many interesting artefacts from a bygone era.
We also organise visits to mill sites outwith our area and hold social events for our members. The Society has its own library of mill related books which are available to our members.
